BELÉM - LISBON - 2009
Opening on the 18th of May 2009 at the Museu Colecção Berado is the largest retrospective exhibition of Pancho Guedes work to date. It is at the Centro Cultural de Belém, Praça do Império, 1449-003, Lisboa and lasts until the 16th of August 2009.
The exhibion shows architecture, painting, sculpture, drawings, sketches, models and photographs of work from the 1940's to the present, and is curated by his son, Pedro Guedes of the University of Queensland in Australia.
The title of the exhibition is "Vitruvius Mozambicanus", taken from the article originally published by Arquitectura Portuguesa of July 1985 featuring his work, on which this website is also based.
